Cleverly primed for mandatory defense

WBO light heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly says Saturday’s clash with mandatory challenger Robin Krasniqi in London could be his toughest fight thus far. “Potentially, he’s the best I’ve met,” said Cleverly. “He’s young, he’s worked hard to get himself into the mandatory position and he enters with a lot of momentum.

Krasniqi, Pianeta ready for title challenges

From Thursday to Sunday, world title challengers Robin Krasniqi and Francesco Pianeta took part in a short training camp at the exclusive “Strandhotel Fischland” on the Baltic Sea. Krasniqi will challenge WBO light heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly in London on Saturday, while Pianeta challenges heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko on May 4 at the SAP Arena in Mannheim.

Robin Krasniqi warns Cleverly - "I’ll fight for my life!"

Robin Krasniqi gets the opportunity to become the WBO light-heavyweight champion on 16th March at Wembley Arena, London when he faces title holder Nathan Cleverly on the ‘Rule Britannia’ show. The two were meant to face each other last year at the Royal Albert Hall, April 2012, but a viral infection forced the Welshman to cancel the bout.
